Inspired by the remarkable landscape of Tasmania’s east coast, this painting captures the sweeping view across Great Oyster Bay towards the iconic Hazards mountain range at Coles Bay.  Layers of warm earth colours lead the eye through the rugged shoreline to tranquil blue water, while soft mist drifts across the ancient granite peaks. 

Rather than recording every detail, I wanted to convey the atmosphere of this extraordinary place, the stillness, expansive light and quiet sense of connection that make this coastline so memorable.  

Painted from my own photographic reference and memories of the location, this work invites the viewer to pause and experience the calm and timeless beauty of the Australian landscape,
