This is a highly textured Landscape with some iridescent sections. It was inspired by the billabongs seen on our Outback trips and by the paperbark trees in the wetland close to my home. I love seeing the effects of light in the landscape and I have tried to convey this impression here. It has a soft subtle colour to it and a lovely sheen. It would have a very calming effect. It has been painted in the New Year and holds the promise of better things to come.
