If you have ever been hiking this painting will probably remind you of the wonderful sense of achievement when you reach the upper levels of a mountain or hill and the wonderful view when looking back down the valley below.  This is a very abstract impression of a lovely valley which could be anywhere in the world.  I put texture on to the canvas, flowed the paint and then formed the landscape.  For me the most important part of the process is to keep the colors harmonious and pleasing on the eye.  The warm colours depict the sense of happiness when out in the fresh air with nothing but nature surrounding you.
