I often go out kayaking round the canals and the reflections are amazing early in the morning on a calm day. We also have lily ponds in the area. These reflections were the inspiration for this series of paintings. I have used clear bright colours and blended them with a palette knife to give the impression of reflections on water.  I have then painted the beautiful Sacred Kingfisher on a branch in this background.  I use my own reference photographs for all my paintings.  This artwork can be purchased on its own or as a pair with the Great Egret. The painting has thick sides 5cm deep and is finished with three coats of Archival Varnish. It is ready to hang.
