Artwork Information

I love walking in forests early in the mornings and this is reminiscent of the dawn light through the trees. It is also a reminder of the aftermath of the bushfires which we, unfortunately, have in our bushland. It is full of hope that we can change the climate for the betterment of both people and nature.
This Mixed Media Painting is on a cradled timber board with the sides painted to compliment the painting. It was painted with black paint, to begin with and then the oil and cold wax, pastels and charcoal was put over this with many different implements Then the trees were rubbed out from the topcoat. It is finished with a satin varnish but has a very soft look to the finished painting.
