About Clare Riddington Jones I am an Australian born artist who has been painting for over 20 years. Formerly from Sydney, I now live in Noosa Heads, Queensland where I create contemporary textured landscape paintings and fluid abstract paintings as well as floral and wildlife paintings. I paint in Acrylic, Mixed Media and Oils.
For five months every year, I spend time in my other property in Queenstown, N Z. I am inspired by the wonderful Alpine vista, and my extensive garden which is a creative source for my floral artworks. I also works in oils, and have won quite a few prizes in both oil and acrylic. My art is diverse and very expressive; I use a wide range of techniques that swing from contemporary art to still life, to wildlife images and floral portraits. I have recently been experimenting with pouring mediums to produce some interesting Fluid Art. I have had many exhibitions both in Australia and New Zealand, the latest one a solo exhibition at Pomona Railway Gallery, Noosa Hinterland in August last year. I will be participating in Noosa Open Studios again this year in August which results in about 300 people visiting my studio. More information to come. I GIVE WORKSHOPS IN MY STUDIO AT NOOSA.
